Position: Partnerships Manager (Higher Education)

Salary/Rate: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Location: Manchester

Start Date: Immediately available


We are seeking a Partnerships Manager to join us and help create a new corporate partnerships strategy to further our business development. You will be instrumental in building new partnerships with domestic and international educational institutions and organisations to expand the company’s brand and support the student recruitment network. You will be required to utilise account management skills to maintain and develop existing partnerships, working closely with other departments to identify strategic growth opportunities. The successful candidate must be proactive in their approach, able to work both autonomously and as part of a team and possess excellent communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively implement initiatives and build relationships with external stakeholders including but not limited to: education authorities; education admission services; higher education institutions; language schools; private education institutions; student recruitment and graduate employment agencies domestically and globally;
  • Review UKEC current business development strategy by analysing internal and external marketing data to contribute to the Operations Directors annual strategy.
  • Review industry data and develop an annual programme for UKEC partners to discuss industry changes and solutions;
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with partners and introduce new dynamic ways of elevating partnerships;
  • Work closely with operational and support teams to build up a clear picture of contract performance across all services in specified region and ensure that all contract renewals are prepared and accounted for;
  • Identify gaps in market and propose strategic and innovative solutions with senior management;
  • Organise, participate, and attend activities that help raise our business profile, develop business insights, opportunities and network;
  • Perform statistic research, analyse market trends and produce reports in order to provide specialist insights to partners.  
  • Carry out pitches and other presentations required to retain and/or win new business
  • Be   responsible   for   the   overall   responsibility   and   activities   of   the   Liaison Manager in building stronger relationship with existing partners;
  • Undertake any other relevant duties delegated by the company management which are in line with the main responsibilities of the position


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Proven track record in business development and data analysis
  • Experience within the international student recruitment and/or UK higher education industry
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated with the ability to drive success and achieve targets


* This role involves occasional business travels both within the UK and overseas.
