Cranfield University

 

Cranfield University is a postgraduate and research-based university specialising in science, engineering, technology and management. The university has two campuses; the main campus is located in the namesake village of Cranfield in Bedfordshire, and the second is the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom at Shrivenham, southwest Oxfordshire. The main campus is known for having an unique fixture of an operational airport (Cranfield Airport) next to it. The airport facilities are used by the university for private executive business travel and its own aircraft in the course of aerospace teaching and research.

​​​Situated close to Milton Keynes and Bedford, the main campus in Cranfield is about 10 minutes from the M1 motorway. Additionally, there is rail and road access to most major airports as well as coach and train stations close to the Cranfield campus.
